David, Cindy and all the staff are celebrating the re-opening of the Queens Head and would like to welcome customers old and new to experience the delights of their recently refurbished bar, the results of which has been welcomed by all existing customers. A considerable change has been made giving more room to enjoy a night out, either enjoying snacks in the bar or having a delicious meal in the restaurant, listening to their vast range of music from the 1950s to date, from the exclusive Media Theme System which was recently installed. Live entertainment also appears at weekends.

The Queens Head was purchased by David and Cindy about 6 years ago and this formed the figure head of the company which controls the outlet “TDC Taverns Ltd”. Since the purchase in 2001 the house has undergone many changes including the addition of a 40 cover air conditioned smoke free restaurant which is often used for buffets and other social functions. 

Although the Licensed trade has been going through a decline over the last few years, the Queens Head has always been a favourite to locals and holiday makers alike, with many returning year after year to enjoy the excellent real ales, beers and wines along with the wide variety of good food which is always available. A new menu for the summer season that is now being served 7 days a week, has been compiled by their new chef Ian, who has brought some great ideas for both Bar and Restaurant and they come at a reasonable price and are already very popular with their customers.

The Queens Head hold special event nights, one of these being the “Friday Evening Fish and Chips” to eat in or take away, all the fish served is freshly cooked to order in the chef’s specially prepared beer batter, (this has gone down a storm with the regulars). They also serve other items to take away and if all goes to plan the take away will be extended to other times through-out the week. Currently the pub has two pool teams, one of which is doing well in the winter league. More players are being sort after for the summer League which starts shortly.
